The question may look simple but of course isn't. There are some things about active duty life we miss such as the comaraderie, the feeling of making a difference to our country's defense, and the perks (active duty vs. retired pay and certain allowances). And of course, there are certain things we don't miss such as long separations and less-than-ideal moves.

Some retirees are simply bored with civilian life and never quite find a niche for themselves. This is probably more common than we realize. Many of us may not have actually considered retirement at ages 45 or 50 as we set goals for our lives. Heck, some people never even set goals period. I invite you to start right now, today, and set some goals for yourself for the next 30, 60, and 90 days. Maybe you want to lose 10 pounds or buy a new car. Maybe there is a place you want to visit or a good deed you've been meaning to do.

Now set some longer range goals of 6 months, a year, and 5 years. You don't have to have a fully laid out plan to get there, just have a goal. Are some of your goals financial? Perhaps you have some debts you want to get rid of. Or maybe you want a larger portfolio of mutual funds. Are you worried that the current economy may not support your goals? Are there places you've always wanted to visit? Are there people you want to meet or reconnect with?

We are honored and blessed to be able to offer you hope and a plan for achieving anything you desire in life, whether it's financial, personal, or a cause you are passionate about. You may be skeptical because you think that things that sound too good to be true usually are. You owe it to yourself at least look at what we do. After all, we are just like you . We're a retired military couple with 2 adult children, one grandchild, and one on the way. We have elderly parents to take care of. We've worked corporate jobs. We go to church. We pay taxes. (But our home business offers some great savings here.) We have dreams for ourselves, our families and our world.

Trust in your creator to provide for you abundantly. Believe in yourself and your ability to accomplish anything you desire. If you miss active duty life, there are avenues to achieve the same and even more ambitious goals. Give us a call today.

To You and Your Success,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
803-364-3918
www.askmred.com

Living The Retired Life On Our Terms

So what have you been up to for the past couple of months? We have made several trips to Florida and one to Quantico, Virginia. Never during our years of working for a boss would these trips have been possible. Two of the trips to Florida were family-related and one was a "Super Saturday" in Miami as part of our business. We have certainly been living the "retired" life on our terms, wouldn't you say?

The trip to Quantico was meaningful as well. We were privileged to see our soon-to-be son-in-law receive his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. Based on our experience at Quantico, we stand proud as Americans and feel safe in the protection of these exceptional active duty men and women.

Today I spent some time "surfing the web" while our 2 year-old grandson was napping. Actually that was considered "work" for me as an entrepreneur. There are a lot of JOB opportunities for military retirees but who wants a JOB? I mean, we've served our country proudly and made our share of sacrifices. Now that we have earned this retirement status, we certainly don't need to put ourselves back into service in the corporate arena, do you think?

It was so gratifying to hang out with our fellow business associates in Miami this past weekend. We all have our hearts set on serving others as we all set and attain some very respectable financial goals. Unlike our military careers where only a very few reach the highest rank, with Liberty League International, the goal is for all of us to reach the top. There is plenty of room and plenty of pie to go around. Talk to us. Then you are free to make your own decision about how to proceed with your not quite retired life.

To your prosperity,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
803-364-3918
prosperitytoday@bellsouth.net

Not Quite Retired

At 53 years of age, I hardly consider myself "retirement" age. Historically "retired" was the word to describe people over 65 who could finally draw social security. With military retirees, the age of 65 no longer applies. Not only are we not ready for "social security," whatever that means, but we still have a lot of energy and ambition to achieve new goals in life.

Since Ed "retired" from the Air Force, he has been a realtor, a retail manager, and now a home business entrepreneur. I have been a mother, volunteer, nurse and now a home business entrepreneur as well. We have also become grandparents along the way with our 2nd grandchild due in June 2008.

Actually, it was the grandparenting thing that nudged me in the direction of a home business. I worked as a nurse for a hospital system that was not generous at all with paid time off. In addition, they wouldn't even consider the idea of time off without pay. Since our children and grandchild live 350 miles away, I need a minimum of 3 days to even visit them briefly.

With all that said, what about you? If you're retired from the military, are you living the life you dreamed of? Do you worry about paying bills? Can you travel whenever and wherever you like? Do you have time to spend with your friends and family? Are you able to participate in activities that excite you? I truly believe we all deserve to have the time and resources to live our lives as fully as possible. Personally I am thrilled to be "not quite retired."

To Your Success,
Sandra Hayes
ProsperityToday@bellsouth.net

Defining a Blessed Retirement

As I was walking my dog, Emma, today, I started asking myself how to go about defining a blessed retirement. For me it's living in our dream home on Lake Murray without having to worry about reporting to a J-O-B to make ends meet. It's also having an abundance of discretionary income to have fun and help others.

So now the question becomes "How do you define a blessed retirement?" I'd love to hear from you about this. Maybe you were able to make lucrative investments during your military career and are now basking on the beach with millions in the bank. Or maybe you've resigned yourself to the idea that money isn't important.

People who don't think money is important usually don't have any. It's true that money can't buy happiness but it does afford a lot of options. I'm of the firm opinion that we were created with a desire to grow and become more than we presently are. This fact means that we are also capable of figuring out how to increase our value as human beings, in both wealth and wisdom.

If you are itching to have more money as well as time to creatively use that money, contact us. We're just an ordinary retired Air Force couple who have discovered a simple, fun business. As a result, we have taken the goal of defining a blessed retirement to a whole new level. Our goal is to help you do the same thing, quickly and easily.

To Your Blessed Retirement,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
1-803-364-3918
ProsperityToday@bellsouth.net

Military Retiree Earning a Six-Figure Income

If you are a United States military retiree earning a six-figure income, please stand up. If you know in your heart you deserve to earn a six-figure income, you are absolutely right. I, for one, take a stand for your greatness and am committed to your achieving this goal.

Do you realize that today in the United States, anyone who decides to do what it takes to become a millionaire can honestly achieve it? It won't happen as long as you see yourself working for someone else, though. It will take an open mind, a believing heart, and the decision to do exactly what other millionaires do. This really sounds simpler than it is. The most important part is the believing.

I will admit that I had some limiting beliefs in this area at one time. One reason is that I come from a working class background and always thought that wealth was for someone else. I was brought up with the work ethic to work hard, make do, and maybe one day retire at age 65 or even later.

Of course, career military people usually retire in their 40's or maybe early 50's. Most then find a second career or some kind of job to supplement their retirement income. More and more retirees are looking to really make some serious money. So were we. We didn't want to trade all our time for money, though. And we certainly didn't want a ton of stress to go with it. The military was stressful enough without taking on more of that in retirement.

It may sound like hype to say that our decision to team up with Liberty League International was life-changing but it truly was. Most people have 3 questions when they hear of a lucrative home based business opportunity: 1) Is it real? 2)Can I do it? 3)Will you help me? I'm sure the answer is "Yes" since you belong to the human race. When things don't go as I plan for them to, I remember a quote from Jack Canfield that I heard about 15 years ago: "It's not what happens to me, it's how I respond to what happens to me that determines the quality of my life." If you really dig into this statement you will find a lot of wisdom. In fact, you may even find that some seemingly negative things that happen to you are actually blessings in disguise.

One of the cornerstone products of our Liberty League International business is a 90-day home study course entitled, "Beyond Freedom." When I finish the ninety days, I start over again knowing that I still have things to learn about myself and improvements to make. This past week one of my assignments was called "Overcoming Adversity." The exercise in this assignment was to list five examples of adversity that I have faced. The kicker then was to look for opportunities that resulted from those times of adversity. In particular I was instructed to look for changes I made, influential people I met, and growth that I experienced.

Some examples I listed included the loss of our first baby and the loss of a job. At the time these events seemed devastating. Looking back on them enables me to see the blessings that followed. For example, after the loss of our baby, I made some wonderful new friends, developed a much stronger faith, and with the birth of our daughter a year later, I realized that God has a bigger and better plan than I can imagine.

I used to think that if I "played by the rules," I would be guaranteed success. Now that I've lived over half a century, I realize how foolish that notion is. I am so blessed to have grown in faith and to have developed the courage to take risks in life. The greatest opportunities await those who step out in faith. That is exactly what Ed did when he left a management position and became an entrepreneur. It is what I did when I followed suit a few months later.

Right now, I don't know your story. Maybe your life has been like a fairy tale and you anticipate "living happily ever after." Or maybe you're not satisfied with how things are going right now. Maybe you're looking for an opportunity to take you to a new level financially, personally, relationally, or spiritually. I don't have all the answers but I have some.

I know the blessings we have received because we dared to take a risk and stepped out on faith. You see, not having enough time and money to achieve our dreams caused us to look for new options. Our previous lack turned out to be a blessing in disguise. My goal now is to help other military retirees like us find new hope for the future. Contact me and we will simply have a conversation. Together we can figure out where you want to go from here and how to get there.

To Your Success,
Sandra Hayes
1-800-852-7695
prosperitytoday@bellsouth.net

Successful Retired People Take Action

We all know that successful people, retired or otherwise, take action. Failure to take action leaves us stuck where we are or maybe even sliding backwards. Just wishing for your life to look different will never make it happen. You have to actually make a decision and do something.

In The Traveler's Gift, Andy Andrews describes the story of Col. Joshua Chamberlain during the battle of Gettysburg. According to Andy, the decision Col. Chamberlain made that day changed the course of the battle, the war, and ultimately, the fact that we are The United States and not a bunch of smaller countries. The men under Chamberlain questioned his order to fight rather than retreat or surrender. Chamberlain's men were severely outnumbered and out-armed. Nevertheless, Chamberlain made the decision and saw it through. As far as he was concerned, success was the only option.

So what area do you need to make some changes? Is it in a relationship? Is it in your finances? Are you in an unsatisfactory job? Your broke and miserable friends and family members will probably tell you to suck it up. Life happens. We can't always have what we want. Rich people are just lucky. 97% of people stay where they are because they are afraid of taking action. They consider it to be too risky.

Of course it's risky to take action. But successful people are willing to assume some risk in order to make huge gains in their lives. Successful people know that they are responsible for their results. If their results are not what they want, they make decisions and take actions to change their results. That is exactly what I did. I was not happy with my finances. I was not happy with a job working long hours, with too little vacation, and too little pay. The only way my situation would ever change was if I decided to do something. And then actually do it!!

I did and the rest is history. I'm sitting here in my dream home during what used to be a "work day." It's been a very productive day so far by my standards. I've set some goals and achieved them. In a few hours, I will visit my elderly mother. I never had this kind of time and energy when I "worked." How about you? Now that you're retired from the military, are you ready to take some new action before it's too late? Contact me and I'll call you back. I know where I'm headed because I'm a successful person taking action to get there. I'll help you do the same.

To Your Success,
Sandra Hayes
1-800-852-7695
prosperitytoday@bellsouth.net

It's All About Integrity

Regardless of one's endeavor, it's all about integrity. Webster's unabridged dictionary defines integrity as an unimpaired or unmarred condition. It is also "an uncompromising adherence to a code of moral, artistic or other values: utter sincerity, honesty, and candor: avoidance of deception, expediency, artificiality, or shallowness of any kind."

These sound like words from a United States Armed Forces code of conduct, don't they? Retirement doesn't change these characteristics of a person. You had them prior to enlisting or being commissioned, and you continue to have them after separation or retirement. They are at the core of who you are and what you believe in.

An important aspect of integrity is that we must have it toward our creator and ourselves before we can have it toward others. This requires us to periodically meditate (pray) and reflect on who we are, why we're here, and what actions we intend to take. By making a conscious effort to always remain in integrity, our decisions reflect who we are intentionally BEING. Genuine, honest people are attractive leaders. People are drawn to them and want to follow them.

This is the exact approach we take in our business. We first made sure the company we joined was one of integrity - that their way of operating is honest, open and focused on improving the lives of others, not just the pocketbooks of a few. We then observed the leaders and listened to them as often as we could. It was so refreshing to repeatedly hear that having integrity is a prerequisite for success.

So if you are now looking at some options for helping others reach their goals and in so doing also reach yours, contact us. We take your trust seriously and we promise to treat you with the utmost honesty, always following the principles of the Golden Rule. After all, in business as in all relationships, it's all about integrity.

To Your Utmost Success,
Sandra Hayes
1-800-852-7695
prosperitytoday@bellsouth.net

An Insider's View

Considering we retired from the USAF in 1994, Ed and I feel qualified to discuss our insider's view of being retired and blessed.

People who choose the United States military as a career are a special breed. If you are like us, you believe in our country and the freedom we seek to provide for everyone. You probably like to travel, meet new friends, learn new things, and try new adventures. Maybe you are still able to do these things in your retirement and maybe not.

Our life took on a new look after Ed's retirement. For one thing, we both worked for employers who paid us for our work time and wouldn't consider giving us 30 paid days of leave a year. There isn't much room for adventure in corporate America either. For one thing, most work takes place within the confines of their turf and under their policies. Also, it was difficult for us to remain creative and adventurous working 11 hour-days catering to someone else's agenda.

Given that we are still young and healthy, we want to enjoy our lives free of financial and time constraints. Our friends said, "Good luck." Well, we don't believe in luck, we believe in taking action and making things happen. We are grateful and blessed to live in a country where freedom reigns. It would discredit our forefathers if we settled for mediocrity. We teamed up with people just like us who are persistent, adventurous, and who take responsibility for their own circumstances. Every day we wake up with a purpose.

Knowing who you are and where you are going is the key to success in any area of life. As military retirees with an insider's view, we continue to build on our active duty experiences. As we enjoy the freedom to live life on our terms, we are blessed to be able to provide a way for others to achieve the freedom they want and deserve.

To Your Success and Freedom,
Sandra and Ed Hayes
shayes76@bellsouth.net
1-800-852-7695

Courage, Vision, Faith, and Action

What exactly does your retired lifestyle look like? Are you still following someone else's orders or have you assumed command of your life and future? Do you have to report for duty at a certain time and place or do you decide when and where you are going to do things? Your prior military service was all about cultivating leadership in you. As we know, successful leaders possess courage, vision, faith, and action.

All of these elements are necessary for success in any endeavor, and especially in entrepreneurship. If you are considering stepping out of your so-called comfort zone (not that tired and broke are comfortable) and starting a business to take your retirement to new levels, congratulations. We found the perfect vehicle to do just that and are committed to assisting you in achieving more success than you can even imagine right now.

Know that you already possess the necessary skills to succeed. First, consider courage. It took courage to commit to and then complete a military career. It really takes a much smaller amount of courage to begin a business that you can work from the comfort of your home with a proven company. You will be mentored by those who are already successful and whose chief goal is to assist you in becoming successful too. There is no competition in this business, only creativity and cooperation.

Second, consider vision. Do you have an idea of what you'd like your life to look like in 1 month, 6 months, a year, and five years? Do you live in the house of your dreams? What are you driving? What does your portfolio look like? If you can conceive it in your mind and imagine the feeling of having it, you are capable of achieving it.

Next, consider faith. In Hebrews 11:1, we read "To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see. " Faith is a gift from our creator who loves us and wants us to live abundantly. In Mark 9:23, Jesus tells us, "Everything is possible for the person who has faith."

Finally, for change to take place, you must take action. Are you living the lifestyle you envisioned? Do you finally have time to spend with your family? Can you afford the hobbies you enjoy?

You made some significant sacrifices in terms of time and earning potential by giving most of your adult years to protect the freedoms we all enjoy. If you were like the rest of it, you expected those sacrifices to be rewarded with a decent retirement pay and benefit package. Those benefits have been eroded over the years in the interest of government budget cuts. In addition, the cost of living has certainly outpaced our retirement income.

The qualities one needs to become a successful entrepreneur are very similar to those it takes to be a successful military person. Those qualities include being coachable and trainable, having a burning desire to excel, and being a leader to others. You owe it to yourself, your family, and your future associates to step forward again to become the best you can be. Keep your vision.

We stepped out on faith and are so grateful to actually be living more fully in retirement than ever. Is this what we expected? We expected we would be financially secure. We expected to live in our dream home. We expected to drive nice cars. We expected to have the time and resources to serve others. All of this is happening for us, and we'd love to assist you in having it happen for you as well. Contact us today and start living the retirement you expected.

In Your Service,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
1-800-852-7695
askmred@bellsouth.net

Retirement - Thriving or Surviving

As Americans, we owe our freedoms, opportunities, and very lifestyles to the men and women who so bravely served in the military. These Americans earned every retirement benefit they receive and more. My prayer is for all retirees, and especially those who retired from military service, to be thriving rather than surviving.

In reality, however, more retired folks are probably struggling to make ends meet. At the very least, they probably would like more income to live the lives they truly desire. If you are one of these folks, you may wish to have a nicer home, a newer car, or the ability to travel to some exotic places just for fun.

That was the case for us. Working a full-time job with inadequate pay and way too little time off was not our idea of real living. We wanted more control over our time and more money to control as well. Thanks to our "stumbling" on a lucrative home business that allows us to thrive instead of survive, we are enjoying life more than ever. The best part is that we can share this with others and mentor them to the same level of success.

Give us your contact information and we will call you soon. One of the main differences is that people often retire from the military in their forties and occasionally in their fifties. Also, they are still healthy and motivated enough to want a second and usually more financially lucrative career than the one they retired from.

The challenge lies in finding an opportunity that affords personal freedom to be in charge of one's own time as well as a good financial reward. Selling real estate seemed like a good option for Ed. However, there was a lot of time involved and travelling was difficult because a realtor needs to be in the same place as the property in order to show and sell it. Retail management affords neither time freedom nor a lucrative income.

We were so blessed to find Liberty League International last March. It offers all the time freedom one needs. Our direct sales business can be done anywhere with a laptop and a cell phone. And the financial rewards are the best anywhere. How does a 70% commission sound to you? If you are retired from the military and looking for an ideal second career, call us. The information is free. We appreciate your service and look forward to being of service to you.

In Your Service,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
askmred@bellsouth.net
803-364-3918

Safely Home

After 12 days of travelling to Florida and Texas, we are grateful to be safely home. We visited with some old friends and made new friends during our journey. It was so nice to not have to worry about getting back to work since our business travels with us. It was also good spending time on the road with our adult children.

We often remember stories about our military days and the adventures we had as an active duty family. We have many wonderful memories and the ones that weren't so wonderful at the time are now memorable at least! Life is so full of possibilities for new experiences and adventures.

Our greatest blessing is living in a free country with the freedom to pursue our dreams. We are grateful to all military families, active duty and retired, who have made sacrifices to ensure our freedom continues. As Americans, we are free to travel, explore and pursue business opportunities as we choose.

At this point in our lives, we are extremely grateful to have found a lucrative home business opportunity with Liberty League International. We invite other retired and active duty military members and their families to contact us for more information about starting your own home business as we have. It's a simple business with the training and support we are accustomed to having and giving.

Make your retirement all you want it to be. We get to choose where, when, and if we will travel. We get to choose where we will live and what hours we will work. We even get to choose our income goals and make our own tactical plans for achieving these goals.

We enjoyed traveling while on active duty. We saw some really interesting places and met some wonderful people. Our travel now is a combination of business and pleasure. Our company has 3 conferences a year which allow us the opportunity to travel to such places as Hawaii, Mexico, Greece, South Africa, and Australia. Since these are business conferences, the cost of this travel is tax deductible. Because our business only requires a telephone and a laptop computer, we can continue to work regardless of our location.

This coming week we will be traveling with our daughters to Houston, Texas, for a conference related to our daughter's business. We will help her with her work, babysit our grandson, and continue to work our own entrepreneurial business. How cool is that?

To top it all off, our goal in the next 6 months is to purchase a fifth wheel travel trailer and new truck to tow it with. This will afford us even more opportunity to travel when and where we like and stay as long as we like without missing a beat with our business.

If your life has gotten a bit boring since your retirement, maybe it's time to give yourself some more choices. There is an abundance of money for you to make, places for you to visit, and people for you to meet. Retirement is no reason to stop being adventurous. Set new goals for your life and make the choices to take your life to a new level.

To Your Continued Success,
Ed and Sandra Hayes
askmred@bellsouth.net
803-364-3918

Retired and Living Big

If you have recently retired from the military or if it's been a decade or more like us, you are invited to explore the possibilities that retired life has to offer. Ed retired from the USAF as an aircraft maintenance officer in 1994. Military retirement pay and benefits are inadequate for a comfortable, let alone exciting, life. We explored such options as working for someone else as well as working for ourselves. Working for someone else was a real drag but the positive points were a regular paycheck and paid vacation - neither of which were great. Entrepreneurship, in the form of selling real estate, was okay but very demanding of our time - we felt guilty when we left town and weren't available for clients.

When we became empty-nesters 5 years ago, we decided to set some new goals for the rest of our lives. Our first step was to build our dream home on Lake Murray in South Carolina. It was hard to leave our good friends in the panhandle of Florida where we had retired. However, the lake had been beckoning us for many years so off we went on this new adventure. Sandra found a job as a nurse, her vocation all of her adult life, and Ed dabbled in real estate and worked as a retail store manager. The biggest drawback to these J-O-Bs were time and money. They used up too much of our time and rewarded us with too little money.

In March 2006, Ed was looking for a new job opportunity online and found our current business. We both saw the "big picture" in this opportunity right away and got started. What a dream come true! We both now work from home or wherever we happen to be visiting at the time. All we need is a cell phone and a laptop. Our business is direct sales of personal development products and the income potential is very lucrative.

If you are looking for a way to live big now that you have retired from the military, contact us.
